Akvaplan-niva has over 25 years of experience cooperating with Russian R&D institutions, government agencies and NGO's. We have been implementing joint projects under inter-governmental agreements, international programs, and industry assignments. Throughout this collaboration history we have established a broad network in as well as a daughter company in St.Petersburg – Akvaplan-niva Barents Ltd.

Last week the director of Akvaplan-niva, Salve Dahle, signed a cooperation agreement with Roscongress Foundation that is the official organizer of the Russian conference "Arctic: Territory of Dialogue". This year the conference was organized in Arkhangelsk 29 - 30 March. The conference gathered more than 2000 high level delegates from a number of countries. President Putin took part in the conference as well as a range of other prominent representatives.

The aim of the agreement is to increase the cooperation between the two major arctic conferences Arctic Frontiers managed by Akvaplan-niva and Arctic:Territory of Dialogue.
